The Housing Authority's Resident Services headquarters is located in our
Evans Park Development at 200 West Williams Avenue in Santa Maria.
While
resident services saw its beginnings in the Santa Maria area, the department strives to spread as many
services as possible throughout the County.
Services offered in the Santa Maria development include a State of the
Art Computer lab where local children and their parents come to work on
homework and/or learn and brush up on their computer skills.
The Housing
Authority in conjunction with the Santa Maria Boys & Girls Club works
with students to help them learn software programs.
The tutors also
works with school age students to see that they dedicate a
good portion of their time in the learning center towards schoolwork.
Internet access
is available to help with research on school reports or projects.
In addition, the Boys and Girls Club of America now operates
their program from the Evans Park Community Center. Over 180 area
youth have obtained memberships. Scholarships are available to assist
with registration fees for youth needing financial assistance.

The Resident Opportunities Center
hosts classes for local residents including the popular English as a
Second Language Class.
